Background

The playground at Shores Park is scheduled for a full replacement in 2026. The first survey results, summarized below, helped City staff develop a request for proposals that reflected the community’s preferences. A committee of staff members then reviewed submissions and selected the finalists shown below. Your feedback in this next survey will help determine which design is chosen.

First Round Survey Results

A total of 104 people participated. The goal was to gather input on playground style, color palette, and most valued play features. A modern style playground was favored over a nature-inspired or traditional. The preferred color palette included teal, lime, orange, and purple. Play features ranked by popularity included climbing, slides, balance, swinging, imaginative play, natural play, and spinning.
