CURBSIDE TREE COLLECTION!Collection is available through January 13, 2023. There is no need to call to schedule as this recycling service is paid for by the City. Recycle your tree by setting it curbside after removing the ornaments, lights and stand. Trees over 10 feet must be cut in half. Artificial and flocked trees qualify as trash. FAMILY TRIVIA NIGHT!Join us at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th at Mississippi Crossings for a movie themed Family Trivia Night. All you need is one person to register a team of up to six. There will be four rounds of questions and the top team will go home with a prize. Questions will be based on movies geared towards families. Online registration is open at $20 per team. The event will be inside the MC Event Center located at 307 East River Parkway.

WARMING HOUSES OPEN!Neighborhood warming houses are open to the public, weather permitting. Please keep in mind that when temperatures drop to -15 with wind chill, or we endure heavy snowfall, warming houses will be closed. TROUT ICE FISHING CONTEST!Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on January 10, 2023. The cost is $25 per resident participant and $30 per non resident. Spectators are free of charge. Set an alarm to snag one of 500 tickets when registration opens. The 4th Annual Trout Ice Fishing Contest will run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023.

SNOWPLOW REMINDERS!Public works plows once snowfall ceases. It requires approximately 12 hours to plow all streets. If you experience an emergency, and your street has not been plowed, call 911 or Hennepin County at 612-596-0299. Reminder, HC is your go-to for county roads. For state highways, contact MNDOT at 511. For city streets, contact Public Works at 763-421-2820, or after hours at 952-258-5321. We encourage residents to stake curbs and stay 200 feet behind plows. Also, please refrain from parking on streets overnight and remember to clear hydrants, sidewalks and mailboxes. View tips!
