On October 22, 2018 the Champlin City Council authorized the use of its website as an alternative means of dissemination of solicitation of bids, requests for information and requests for proposals as permitted by Minnesota Statue 331A.03. Notice of this change was published in the Champlin Dayton Press on November 1, 2018 and the law required a six month transition period, ending May 1, 2019, when notices were required to be published in the official newspaper while also posted online.

Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Public Hearing 

The City of Champlin is conducting a public meeting at the Champlin City Hall, 11955 Champlin Drive on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 7 p.m. to allow interested citizens and opportunity to comment on the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan to be submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), on June 30, 2019 as require by the City’s National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Storm Water Permit. At the Public Hearing, a brief presentation will provide background on the Permit requirements and annual report material. Time will be available during the meeting for oral statements from the public. Copies of the SWPPP are available for viewing at the Champlin City Hall. The annual report along with any public comments will be submitted to MPCA prior to June 30, 2019.
