Patrol Division

The patrol division is comprised of 14 patrol officers and three patrol supervisors. Although officers perform a variety of duties and responsibilities, the primary focus of the patrol unit includes the general patrol of the city streets and highways, traffic details and enforcement, and the answering of various calls of public assistance and welfare. The average response time to calls for service is less than five minutes beginning from the time the call is received by Hennepin Communication Center until the officer arrives at the scene.

The Community Service Officer unit is also part of the patrol division. This division is staffed by one full-time and two part-time officers. Their general duties focus on animal control, parking enforcement and ordinance violations.
