Champlin City Administration Department

The Administration Department is responsible for…

  • Implementing policies and directives as established by the City Council.
  • Administrating general and multi-department activities.
  • Coordinating information to the public.
  • Coordinating personnel functions including comparable worth compliance, health and dental insurance, salary surveys and union contract negotiations.

Government Services

Working within the Administration Department, the City Clerk serves as the Director of Government Services, responsible for:

  • Elections administration including candidate filing, Election Judge training, equipment maintenance and Election Day activities.
  • City communications including the official City website, social media, newsletter and television programs.
  • Environmental Resources Commission staff liaison. Responsible for grant administration, Earth Day Event, Arbor Day program, Recycling Event and refuse contract administration.
  • Oversight of the capital and operating maintenance of the municipal campus buildings.
  • Records retention program, including managing the document imaging system.
